DroneUp: Improving Healthcare Logistics with Drone Delivery

Sean is an experienced aviation and business development professional with over 13 years working in the fields of drone integration, advanced flight deck programs, and new aviation technology development. He worked in the FAA Unmanned Aircraft Systems Integration Office between 2009-2015, supporting the advancement of new policies for commercial operations and processes for civil and government drone approvals. He has led drone manufacturer and traffic management startups, consulted for leading aviation companies, and was most recently involved in multiple historical organ drone delivery projects within the transplant community.
As DroneUp’s Practice Director for Medical Services, Sean works closely with medical partners and health systems to build an integrated drone delivery service offering more effective patient care at lower operational costs. Sean is helping organizations define the benefits and needs for their delivery network as they take the first step into the future of innovated shipment.
Sean has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Maryland, College Park and is an FAA certified Part 107 small UAS remote pilot. He is passionate about all things advanced air mobility, which he often writes about in Professional Pilot magazine.
