FDA is providing a federal liaison to C2SHIP to accelerate the availability of regulatory science tools for evaluating non-invasive wearable sensors, medical device interoperability, physiologic closed-loop control technology, and other medical device technologies that can deliver high quality health care at-home. Dr. Christopher Scully has been selected as the FDA liaison because of his expertise in regulatory science research relevant to wearable physiologic monitoring and closed-loop control technologies as well as the development of regulatory science tools that help assess the safety and effectiveness of innovative patient monitoring and control devices.
