Bijan Najafi, Ph.D., MSc, Director of the Center to Stream Healthcare in Place (C2SHIP) for Baylor College of Medicine and Professor of Surgery and Director of the Digital Health and Access Center (DiHAC), has been appointed as a Federal Advisory Committee member on the Rehabilitation Research and Development Service Scientific Merit Review Board Subcommittee on Chronic Medical Conditions & Aging with the Department of Veterans Affairs. In this role, he will contribute to the fair and equitable selection of research projects supported by VA research funds. Additionally, he will offer insights and advice to research program officials regarding program priorities and policies, with a particular focus on promoting functional independence and enhancing the quality of life for our impaired and disabled veterans. His term will start on March 1, 2024, and end on February 28, 2027.
