Does remotely delivered care improve risk-factor control in people with diabetes?

Dr Malindu (Mal) Fernando is a physician-scientist, podiatrist and post-doctoral research fellow at the Queensland Research Center for Peripheral Vascular Disease, James Cook University Australia. He was awarded a prestigious Fulbright Scholarship to spend some time at iCAMP, Baylor College of Medicine and Keck School of Medicine of USC to collaborate on a remotely delivered prevention program for diabetes related lower limb complications. Mal completed his PhD in 2017 on the biomechanics of the diabetic foot and his post-doctoral work is focused on remote monitoring of risk factors and at-risk feet.
