Short Bio of speakers:
Ms. Rasha Bara: Rasha received her undergraduate degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Johns Hopkins University in 2019. After graduating, she began a fellowship with Venture for America (VFA) and worked as a project manager at Tissue Analytics. In September 2021, she began working as a research coordinator at Baylor College of Medicine with the iCAMP team. She eventually hopes to attend medical school and continue to explore how technology can be used to improve patient care and health outcomes.
Dr. Alejandro Zulbaran: Alejandro is an International Medical Graduate from Mexico graduated in 2018. He has wide research experience in different surgical specialties that involve medical devices related to vascular management. Currently, he leads several prospective and retrospective studies with the Michael E DeBakey Department of Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine. He is pursuing a Residency Program in General Surgery in the US, and his future aspiration is to become a sub-specialist.
Dr. Ram Mishra: Ram received his Ph.D. in kinesiology from the University of Houston in 2020. Currently, he is working at the Baylor College of Medicine as a Postdoc Associate. His focus is on developing computer vision-based applications to assess frailty and neurocognitive dysfunctions. Furthermore, he is leading multiple projects related to digital health to promote healthy aging and telemedicine.
